A House With Views Of The Sea Surrounded By Lush Greenery

The location always influences the design of a house. The fact that the site has a sloping terrain and that its orientation is not yet fully aligned dictates the design in a lot of cases. Nevertheless, nature and architecture designers often improve the views have and in the case of the Wave House one that’s dictated the creation of a really cool and unusual house.

A Tropical Beachfront House

Located in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this beach house overlooks the Pacific Ocean. It was a project by Takao Torimura Architects and its construction was completed in 2011. The house was built on a steep cliff with lots of big trees on each side. It’s made of several shifting rectangular sections in between and it leaves more than 8 meters of the trees undulating freely like a game.

The entire house is very secure and this comes as a surprise. First of all, once you look at it from the outside you’ll probably never guess what’s behind that facade. There’s a big and very beautiful thing that stands out, especially from the way the infinity pool looks like. In addition to the infinity pool and not its interesting design, the house also offers panoramic views of the sea from an outdoor terrace.

The connection to the surroundings is also special and that’s because the house is raised above the ground. It’s a wise decision when you want to draw more attention to the panoramic views and to the fact that this house is actually protected from the elements. To maintain the privacy, the architects placed low-pitched roof and walls made of black aluminum.

The windows are large and they let in abundant natural light as well as views of the sea and the bay. These large windows also provide beautiful views of the surrounding area. What’s also nice about this house is that it integrates surprisingly in the surrounding landscape and this way its inhabitants feel really close to the nature and almost in a safe environment where they can enjoy privacy and calmness. The exterior of the house is dark and simple and it uses natural materials such as stone and wood to create a cozy and comfortable ambiance.
