Founded in 1973 by Gard’s Group, the Chicago-based furniture design firm The Chicago Group & the Luftier Group, Inc., the Chicago company originally focused interior design jobs from 1930 until 2011. It specializes in contract decorating and has out grown following the success of its residential and commercial design offerings.

The group’s firm is known for new hospitality design in the heart of the city. Over the past three years, the boutique designs have expanded, encompassing new residential and hotel environments, displays of modern artwork, hi-tech appliances, and home furnishings.
The Nezu Museum of Art found a new location in Hallandale after a customer found it uncomfortable to sit on the fixed roof. The building dates back to 1913, being built by George A. Wegner in Albaida, Spain.
Luc Arad is the founder of AR Design and leads the Nezu boutique design firm. This classic elegant hotel is a modern reinterpretation of this building’s facade.

The Amalfi Residence is located just outside Washington, D.C., outside of 25 East 24th Street. It’s a mid-century modern, urban oasis with five bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a French balcony and panoramic views of the city.
The Amalfi Residence has a lobby and the building’s interior plan by Douglas Hart is beautiful, showing good taste and elegance.
