Vertigo Modern by Solis Architects:
“We were asked by a couple of a distinguished international international contemporary community to show how we would bring this high tech feel to our newly sold refurbished home into the smaller, warm fully furnished space.
The focus was to bring as much daylight to the new flat as possible and what could be done with more reach and bigger distant views of the City, to the North West.
The design intent was to concentrate the dynamic light and mode of flow experience within the small living space. The kitchen, living, and dining areas had to function successfully while still providing a high volume open space for the family to assemble in together.
A cool blue cupboard at the kitchen side created a place to prepare meals and an offering of understated but striking design features, such as the stone wall and wall niche, quietly under a starscape lighting design spotlight.
A spacious basement now acts as a quiet study, office, or guest room, complete with a double volume overhead having a singular clerestory visual tie everything together. The intention of the design recived that warm glow, exciting the eye throughout the entire home.”
